The Typical Stereotypes in a Teen Movie 

Define Stereotype: a widely held but fixed and over-simplified image or idea of a particular type of person or thing.

(Moving away from the boring stuff (yawn!) here are some examples) 

E.g.

Black people and their obsession with watermelon and chicken 

(Can't even lie, both things are AWESOME!)

OR 

Blonde girls being VERY stupid.

A teen movie that shows THE typical characters you would find in such movies is... 

`Of course the movie features the stereotypical characters we've all learnt to love....

You have...

The popular JOCK

1. Stupidly good looking
2. Rocking the traditional jersey jacket
3. Has the perfect car (sigh)
4. Having girls constantly running after him
5. The 'star' pupil of the school
6. In had some sort of relationship with the cheerleader

2) Duke from 'She's the Man'

Now moving onto...

The NASTY CHEERLEADER 

1. Mostly seen in the traditional cheerleader outfit 
2. Dyed blonde hair (with some pink... apparently) 
3. Uses as lot of text talk daily e.g. O.M.G ----> Oh.my.gosh and T.T.Y.N -----> Talk.To.You.Never

The Desperate Virgin

1. Wears oversize/baggy clothes because it's erm... 'Cool' 
2. Crazy big hair (resembling onto of the Dragonball Z characters...)
3. Believes he can get any other girl... (basically unwanted confidence)

1. Has low self of steam... Doesn't stand up for himself
2. Always makes silly comments that's linked to food

And FINALLY we have...

The UGLY Pretty Girl

1. Wears glasses
2. Always has her head in a book
3. Simple hairstyle e.g. the traditional pony tail
4. No make-up... A natural beauty 
5. Likes to express herself through "art"
6. Is very VERY emotional... At times.
