Day 1 of Editing: Producing Our Film Idents

So, moving onto the fun stuff...
Even though Film Idents will probably be the most... Simplest bit of our teen opening, it's definitely not that easy to make. With a few trial and errors we were able to make really awesome film idents in... 3 hours... And a bit...

1) MELD Productions

2) Distributor: BlackRobin Pictures

Esther: Okay, so the production for this took a little less time as we now knew what were doing (Thank God for that!). As before, the first thing we did was look for some inspiration; so we tried out some names that we thought would be rather catchy e.g. kaleidoscope and such. Eventually the name "BlackRobin" which was inspired by a Robin Hood poster that's in one of the editing room (I know... I know... We're so random.) Happy with our chosen name we opened up PhotoShop and decided to use a robin in our design. As the programme didn't have such shape, we then went online (Google Images you be exact) and searched for a robin silhouette (as shown in the images above). Anyway, we did all of our designs on Photoshop and then moved it onto motion. Clicking onto "filter" and going onto "stylize" we chose "white noise" which made it move (ahhh! So awesome...) and the rest is history!

Maya: Esther said it all! Photoshop and Motion are literally Life Savers! If we hadn't experimented we wouldn't have had such creative institution identities. Plus they were so simple and easy to create, using a few brush tools here and there and some effects to give them some edge. They are now added into the film opening and I can't wait to see what it looks like after everything is done and dusted!
