Using Photoshop to create our institution Identities...

Why we used Photoshop to make our own Production Co & Distributor

Photoshop was a great way to create the production company logo and distributor because it allowed us to design our very own made up production company and distributor and presented our group and the movie.

MELD Productions is the production company and it stands for each of our initials (Maya, Esther, Lauren & Danniella) so this makes it unique and somewhat creative. We applied this into photoshop, made the background black with a white a spotlight with the production company name in a bold font in the colour red to contrast with the black and white.

Our 'Black Robin' distributor was inspired by the gothic/horror and scary scene.  Our movie is a thriller/horror movie so we can easily identify the type of film through the distributor. We wanted the picture to be a silhouette of a robin (hence the name Black Robin) and a light background so we can later add effects if needed.

This process was fairly easy as we are familiar with Photoshop and the tools, however, deciding on the design on both of these institution identities was quite time consuming as we looked at almost every different effect available to make it look good!
